It's been an hour and I still don't have my entree, so my meal is being comped. That's great, because I would more or less be doing the same thing I'm doing here at home. Playing Torn and writing. I was also given the Thai Iced Tea. It's great, exactly what I expected. I was playing a game on Neil.Fun for awhile: https://neal.fun/not-a-robot/ but I had to stop at level 34 because I am not very good at mathematics. A robot would be much better than me! I forgot the e in mathematics, but now I know I've been just slipping over it. I am unsure if it is in the sound of the word, but I think it is. What is the suffix "-ematics"? I can look that up. It's just "-matics" and it means in greek "willing to" or "given to". This still doesn't help me figure out how I've been missing the "e" the whole time or if the sylible count for mathematics is three or four.

At this point, 19:12, I'm still without my entree and it's almost been two hours. This just won't cut it. I'm happy my meal is comped, but I'm also just here for a meal and I've been forced to subside on a dangerously spicy watermelon ball and jelly and 4 lumpia. It's partly my fault this is causing me pain. I forgot to eat anything this morning aside from a banana and a spicy vegitable juice. I should have eaten my unsalted top saltine crackers, but I left them at MADE for a later hunger. The hunger now has me thinking I should search my bag for a snack. That's somewhat insane when I was fully intending to pay $30 for a 5 course meal, halted at the second course.

If I was without entertainment and not in support of my partner I would have likely walked.

The entree arrived-- but it wasn't mine! I let the staff know and I was brought out the correct 2nd course: the lumpia. This was the dish that Sarah worked on yesterday during prep and it was wonderful. I hope she can make some for us at home sometime. I was given one the drinks of the day on the house. It was written as a coconut drink, but it's closer to a lemon-aid and I can't really taste the coconut in it. It has been made with the sour grass clover that grows around wildly, which covers the coconut almost certainly due to it's sour taste. The clovers are part of the drink and although they are not sour, they also do something to take away from the expected but absent coconut note. The black pepper soy sauce that was served with the lumpia was good enough that I sat it behind my drink so it wouldn't be taken, in case I want it again later. It has a strong note of vinegar, which I usually don't like, but it paired well with the lumpia. I'll add a photo of the menu into the journal entry for today so we can see what I chose from.

The amuse bouche had a Serrano pepper in it, it was watermelon two ways with chili powder as written, the pepper was the most spicy I've had in quite a while. It woke me up and I'm very glad I didn't eat much more of it. I would have kept trying if it was left on the plate, but Sarah whisked it away from me. That was for the best.

I have really been enjoying Torn and running my faction, which is also called MADE since I think that's pretty funny-- it being a mobster-crime theme game anyway. I got Nalan to play again and it was nice to catch up, that was not last night but... wait-- was that last night? The days are starting to blur together. It wasn't last night-- was it? I can check my phone. I do so with iPhone mirroring, I have it charging on my extra battery pack right now. I would have checked with iMessage but Nalan has an android. It doesn't seem to be working... huh? Maybe due to low power mode? I gave up, no clue what's going on there. The message showed that was Monday night. Which makes more sense, I was out pretty late both nights but yesterday when I got home with Sarah we... I can't recall. I guess I just relaxed because I was tired from all the work I did yesterday at the Poschman home.

Fast forward to 17:21, I'm at the Laney Bistro since Sarah is front of house today. I wanted her to take my order but I guess she is busy so the student worker did it. That's okay since I'm super hungry. The event today had me yapping nonstop for a few hours, three guided tours and a workshop ends up being a lot more than I expected but it was really fun. I know a made a few mistakes but no one but me seemed to even notice. I then grabbed a share bike and rode to Laney College. The first bite-- amuse bouche arrived. I'll put my laptop away now.

Today we have a special event at the MADE. Preparing for that right now, chatting with Anders.
