We're on our flight from SFO to AMS to ARN for our trip now.
I'm just playing around on the laptop since we have 4h and 15m till landing and then a layover and another two hour flight. So another 8 hours of travel at least. The timer I set when we left from the house is now at 8h 13m.

I was more or less able to to sleep for the first part of this flight, but now I need to pass the time with movies or something. Sarah watched Ocean's 11 and Ocean's 12 and has now moved onto Minecraft The Movie. I was thinking I would read something but it's too dark and that makes it impossible. So I'll journal.

I'll go read some older entries so I can fill in some gaps.
Okay, I read a bit. Really been relaxing the last week or so trying not to worry about the trip because there isn't much to worry about. We planned a trip for Thanksgiving with my parents that should be fun. We dropped the doggies off at Sarah's family's home around 9:15 this morning and took them to the dog park and walks a few times in the leading days. Brutus was not about me leaving this morning. He is so cute. I'm going to miss him for sure.

It's already really great having Sarah on the trip with me. I was laying on her for sleep and it's nice to be able to just chat with someone, although-- that doesn't work when she is watching movies really. She chimed in a few times while I was between sleeping or after while the Ocean's movies were playing. The warm meal came earlier, it was meatballs with some cheesy potatoes. A corn salad and some cake. It was all really nice. That said, I want more food but that's in like two hours or so at this point. I have a brownie they brought over. But the woman in the seat to the front of me was annoyed at the plastic noise so I'll just wait to have it for now. There are lots of other noises happening. So really they can't get mad at me but I'll be kind anyway.

I tried playing a bit of Project Highrise but I couldn't get into it really. I want to play Torn but I can't exactly while I'm flying. I could message people.

That didnt' work, the message wifi is not great. It's now 21:12 on teh computer and just before 6am in AMS. 2024km to go and 2h 20m on the timer. I just finished listening to and editing the rest of the Air Guitar Contest songs. I'm still not sure which one I want or what my costume will be or if I'll do the bit with Sarah or solo. Should be fun regardless of what happens. I just did this as a sort of busy work, since Ludde already has a solution with Traktor.

Sarah is now watching Big Hero Six
I haven't seen that one in a long time. It's pretty good from what I recall.
Disney really using the Marvel catalog. I want more X-Men, but I think Sony still has some hold on that idk. Anyway. My watch battery is getting low. I think I'll try to charge it during the layover; otherwise I have it on low power mode so. That's that. Not getting my rings closed or tracking any movement while I'm sitting on a plane.

22:49 or at least that is what my clock on the laptop says. We're less than an hour from landing at AMS so it's really 07:49 I think. Yeah, 42 minutes left on the clock with a 08:42 arrival estimated at Gate E06. We have a scheduled security appointment and a layover until 10:55 take off to ARN. That's at Gate D74 but we have to go through passport control. Luck that we don't have any bags checked, it should all go smoothly. Sarah didn't get a lot of sleep so she is feeling exhausted, I hope she can get some better rest before and during this last leg. The Arlanda Express is also very sleep inducing... I have waves of memory from that time. It's also super exciting. It's just a train, but it's another world and culture. I wonder how different or new or just at all-- how it will feel.

It will feel like 2025-10-22 for sure, because it already is! I'm just getting to write in this one because of my computer not knowing what time it is.
