Alright, I went into MADE early to fix things up from the event yesterday and also worked the closing shift for front desk. It was a good day. Now I'm home and Sarah is playing BotW on her Switch 2 using the Amiibo we picked up at the Nintendo Store.

I need to post the pictures from the last few days so I'm going to go ahead and do that all in one big pile when I have more energy / focus / whatever it takes to do stuff like that and make it easier in the future.

I need some sort of templating so I don't copy paste my footer and keep changing it each time. But for now, it works.

I created a few days pages ahead of time, finding a way to inject frontmatter data into a page and update frontmatter on conditions (I saw some plugins that do that update part) would be great.

I'm on the IGDA SF board and we haven't been able to find a time we can all meet, looks like that might be a late night 8pm to 9pm timeslot that is being requested. So late. But I'd like as much as everyone else to make sure we can all attend. I personally think that's way too later for a meeting (I will be so brain dead that late at night). I'll do my best to find a way to make it work.

It seems, after relaxing just a bit, I find reflecting relaxing. But to get to that stage I need to feed myself, water myself, check on the people and creatures closest to me (proximity) and then after writing something like that I'm thinking about the other people I care about.

Today is Father's Day, so I called my father and we chatted for a bit. I did it on my way into work and I wasn't the best listener but I don't think I missed anything (meaning I spoke a lot vs letting him speak). They (he speaks for my mother in this) are excited to visit in July. We are going to the Barry Manilow at his final show in Oakland. He is a personal favorite of my mom and because of this I am fairly certain I can recall more song lyrics by word count than any other singer. (something I didn't really think about till now as a way of expressing how Manilow ear-wormed my youth was)

For what it's worth (39.99USD lol) that Typinator program has exactly what I'm looking for in time stamps and templating powers, but it's not free bleeeee! I will save my $40 for now, but shortly I should weigh the time save it could bring and tell myself: "If I can save 5 minutes a month this will be paid for in a year" I would also then tell myself "You only make $34 before tax, your take home is not $34 and certainly not $40 so it will take longer than a month" to which I could say "Okay, 14 or something months wow that sounds so much better than you know what forget it I just wasted a minute thinking this and typing it to... myself"? Yes.

I haven't thought to much about how I could open up the site to talk back to me... leaving my email in the footer seems neat maybe I could forward hey@msnyng.com to my main mailbox or even just a catch all. Can I do that with a good workspace? I need to retire the MetaHobby google workspace. Wow, I haven't made a page for MetaHobby- wait. That's not true. I have one from the old .twee files but yeah I only have...

I'm super distract-able.

Yeah, starting to play Switch 2 now, but I'm going to start with MarioKart 8 Deluxe because switch online wants me to play it to get icons or something and it is a great game. It makes me want to play MKW and I will shortly after a time trial or something on this.

I don't think I've really raced everything new on MK8 as much as I thought. I did the Berlin track from MKTour and it was neat. The thwamps (SP?) being the wall, very funny.

It's now end of day 23:56.
I wrote a bit more elsewhere and finally got dinner. Some tasty "zuppa toscana" that Sarah made for me.

It's 2025-06-17 @ 19:08 and I'm finally doing the photo dump!

I finished off the night with the soup Sarah made for me. Yum!

The upstairs exhibit setup was very scrappy, but people enjoyed it!

This area need attention, we need to setup another computer for streaming vs collection work

The start button on this SNES controller needs some attention. I forgot to document that but now I've journaled it! How odd.
